About Sigma Lambda
Kappa Delta, Sigma Lambda Chapter, became the first sorority on Auburn’s campus in 1922. Now, over a century later, Auburn Kappa Delta continues to abide by the mission of encouraging members to live with integrity and honor in the bonds of lifelong friendship; building confidence in members to excel in college and throughout their lives; inspiring members to be active leaders, responsible citizens and engaged members of the community; and providing opportunities and experiences that foster personal growth for a lifetime.Through National Kappa Delta, Auburn Kappa Delta chapter members have established a scholarship for their own sisters. This scholarship is a merit-based scholarship awarded to a member of the Sigma Lambda chapter with a minimum 2.7 GPA who is a rising sophomore, junior or senior. Also, the chapter was instrumental in establishing the Sigma Lambda Kappa Delta acquisition endowment at the Jules Collins Smith Museum of Fine Art at Auburn University.
