Sigma Lambda is 100! In October 2022, we gathered to celebrate 100 wonderful years of our chapter. Alums from the 1960s through the 2010s traveled to Auburn to reconnect with their KD sisters and celebrate 100 years of Sigma Lambda. The weekend was a tangible example of the lifelong friendship offered by Kappa Delta. We are so blessed to have such amazing alumnae, and everyone had a terrific time celebrating our wonderful chapter. The Sigma Lambda Alumnae Chapter is an integral part in the success of the chapter year after year. This group of women support the chapter in several ways, including honoring members as well as donating to our philanthropies. Each year, the alumnae chapter hosts a dinner for the new members welcoming them to Sigma Lambda, and they also hosts a senior supper for the senior pledge class who is about to graduate from Auburn. These gatherings provide quality time for the chapter members and alumnae to build connections. To honor current chapter members, the alumnae chapter sponsors and distributes awards to members at the annual spring awards ceremony. These awards voted on by the chapter. They also host a ceremony each year for the chapter members transitioning from collegiate members into alumni. To support Sigma Lambda's philanthropies, the alumnae chapter annually monetarily sponsors the Shamrock Run. They also help host four Girl Scout events with the chapter. This past year they held a Pumpkin Scavenger Hunt on the Auburn University campus, hosted an art event, an International Friendship Day World Fair and also raised money to send a girl scout troop to camp.
